How to Effectively Remove Eyebags Without Surgery
By Faye A.

Eye bags make people look tired despite getting enough beauty sleep. Dark circles around or below your eye are the result of many things including aging, heredity, stress and fatigue, allergies, and too much sun exposure. Studies has been shown that smoking and alcohol can darken the pigments surrounding the eyes. Here are some tips on how to effectively remove eyebag.

Identify what is causing the dark circles. Since allergies are one of the most common causes of eye bags, you have to identify the underlying cause of your allergy. Allergies are relatively easy to treat with over the counter products and prescription drugs. Some allergies however don't require any treatment at all thus all you have to do is to avoid whatever it is that is causing the constant puffiness around your eye.

Visit your doctor. You may need to visit your doctor or your dermatologist for proper consultation as some allergens can be undetected by you (such as chemicals or food that you are used to eating). Another reason why you need to visit your doctor is because common eye bags are usually cause by our body's inability to process vitamins, minerals and electrolytes. So it is important to do so to rule out such metabolic factors.

Pamper your skin while you sleep. Say you sleep for 8 hour max, why not treat your skin for this long period? If buying masks is a little inconvenient for you (budget and all), you could opt to make you own facial mask treatment instead. Here is what you could do, just before you retire to bed, you could take a piece of cloth, wet it with cold water, squeeze the excess and voila! You have your very own, home remedy for eye bags - as easy as that.

Home remedy for eye puffiness: Teabags, ice cubes and cucumbers. Tea contains tannin which research has shown that it effectively reduces discoloration and puffiness. Slices of cucumber and iced cube wrapped in soft cloth have long been used to decrease puffiness of the eyes (especially after crying). It would be very effective if you apply these to your eyes daily for about 10-15 minutes. Some eye creams are also effective especially if they contain Vitamin K and Retinol. So the next time you buy some skin care product, make sure you read the label.

Try to relax your eyes every once in while. If you are used to working in front of the computer for the whole day, then it will be very likely that you develop those eye bags. After 30 minutes of reading or working, close your eyes for about five minutes and just relax. And don't doze off!

Eat healthy. Almost all health problems can be relieved by eating the right amount of the right foods. Studies suggested that fluid retention is one of the minor causes of eye puffiness so make sure you limit your salt intake. Not only will eating healthy solve your eye bag problem but you will feel young and fresh inside and out.

Getting rid of eye bags is a little tough to do especially if the underlying cause is unknown. Sure they are very hard to get rid of but with proper regimen and know-how's, you can effectively get rid of them and even prevent them from coming back.

Dark circles around your eyes are truly stubborn and tough to get rid of. Looking for more tips on how to effectively remove eyebags or dark circles under your eye? If you find this article useful, get more skin care tips here
