About Aloe Vera And Products Containing Aloe Vera
By
Chaz MillesAlthough aloe vera looks like a cactus, it actually is a succulent and a member of the Liliacae family (like the onion, garlic, asparagus, lily and the tulip). Unsurprisingly one of aloe vera's nick names is 'lily of the desert' because that is where it grows naturally. To survive long periods of droughts these xeroids plants have the ability to retain and preserve large quantities of water.
Being able to survive such a harsh environment has interesting implications for you. When for instance an aloe leaf gets damaged it instantaneously repairs this damage thereby avoiding loss of water. Failure to quickly repair the injury site would result in evaporation of its precious reservoir and might jeopardise the plant's health or survival. Such tissue repair and other powerful aloe vera properties are transferred to you when you ingest Aloeride®.
There are more than 350 varieties of aloe vera yet only 4 contain significant healing properties, the most nutrient dense of these is aloe vera barbadensis miller, the plant used to make Aloeride®. Aloe vera is a complex, interacting mixture of some 300 constituents including beta-linked polysaccharides, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, lignins, saponins and anthraquinones.
The challenge in processing aloe vera is how to extract all of these synergistic molecules without damaging them or without significantly altering their ratios to one another. Next you must deliver all these synergistic molecules in meaningful quantities for only then can the many properties attributed to aloe vera manifest themselves. We chose to grow the best and process in the cleverest possible way and as a result Aloeride® emerges as the top flight aloe vera product in multiple, independent laboratory tests.
With a nick name like 'lily of the desert' you won't be surprised to learn that aloe vera cannot tolerate frost. Its water content freezes at 28° Fahrenheit (minus 2°Celcius) causing the plant to die. Consequently most commercial growth of aloe vera happens south of the Equator. North of the Equator commercial growth still is precarious, aloe growers in the 'dust bowl' of southern Spain got clobbered when in February 2005 temperatures fell to minus 10° in Madrid and minus 20° in Aragon. But also south of the Equator the climate is changing, until recently Australia was a large producer of aloe vera like it was of wheat, cotton lint, wine grapes and rice.
Their prolonged droughts caused a drop in wheat production by over 58% which made wheat
Prices surge to a 10-year high, these drought also affected Australia's aloe vera production where one company alone converted some 7,000 tonnes of aloe vera leaf into around three million litres of gel each year. An aloe vera plant needs 150mL water a month as otherwise it dies. Plants that do survive the drought generate more aloin and emodin, resulting in their gel having an even more bitter taste and stronger odour than usual. It is what dehydrated aloe does for self-preservation because emodin and aloin have anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal and anti-cancer effect. These hydroxyanthraquinone compounds become life savers as the dehydrated plant fights cell disorganisation and bacteria, viruses or fungi that prey on it.
However, what is good for a distressed aloe vera plant isn't necessarily good for you. In the lower gastrointestinal tract barbaloin molecules are hydrolysed to create aloe emodin which acts as a laxative by increasing water retention and mucus secretion in the large intestine. Aloe vera crop surviving droughts may come with a sting in its tail that causes mayhem in sensitive digestive tracts.
In order to achieve product consistency in a changing climate, we perform routine laboratory tests on trial processed harvests and base our purchases on those outcomes. The effect of climate change reaches aloe vera crops worldwide and to date Aloeride® has needed to make two rejections because of our very exacting Quality Control. Climate change certainly makes optimal harvesting more challenging than it has been in the past decades but the customer feedback shows that keeping to our unique standards makes an appreciable difference to customer's quality of life. An Ugly Betty aloe vera may be, but in Aloeride® it waves its magic wand supremely.
AloeRide contains 100% pure aloe vera made to pharmaceutical standards.

Athletes are Prone to Dermatological Irritation - What Can Be Done?
By
Tom MaroneyWhen one thinks of the injuries sustained by baseball players, skin irritation is not necessarily the malady that jumps to mind. But for Josh Beckett, ace pitcher of the Boston Red Sox, it is exactly those sorts of concerns that have proven most debilitating over the years: Beckett has suffered from blisters on the fingers of his pitching hand that have landed him on the disabled list an astonishing six times since 2000.
That is a painful problem. It is an expensive problem. And it is a problem that can curtail seasons; it can derail careers; it can mean the difference between playing and not playing, winning and losing.
In Search of Topical Pain ReliefAnd it's not limited to Beckett, pitchers, or even baseball players. Athletes of all stripes risk injury due to blisters, abrasions, eczema, cuts...all dermatological concerns that demand topical pain relief. And, it doesn't end there: Those who participate in outdoor sports-tennis, sailing, skiing, and so on-frequently suffer from sunburn. Those who sweat a lot in workouts or competition such as basketball players, gymnasts, and runners have to deal with chafing. It especially helps runners to prevent blisters, abrasions, and also expedites in healing. These are recurring problems that demand chronic pain management. Yet, many athletes downplay these concerns, oftentimes because such injuries are not considered severe. Hey, it's not a broken bone or a torn hamstring, so how bad can it be? It can be bad enough to cause an athlete to lose a step, or to favor a certain leg, arm or muscle group. It can also be bad enough to lead to more severe injuries. Just ask Josh Beckett.
As such, athletes aiming to remain in top form should seek to treat their dermatological concerns via natural health remedies. Indeed, natural pain relief is the optimum method for keeping an athlete's skin healthy and hydrated. In fact, the importance of hydration itself cannot be overstated. Of course, the simplest and most effective method for staying hydrated is to simply drink water. And for athletes, who lose a great deal of fluids through sweating, water should be consumed frequently. In fact, it's said that even 2 percent dehydration decreases an athlete's performance by as much as 10 percent. Adequate hydration is crucial in keeping one's skin healthy.
For athletes already suffering from blisters, abrasions or the like, simple powders and ointments such as Johnson's Baby Powder or Gold Bond Medicated Ant-Itch Cream can be purchased inexpensively, and can provide tremendous relief. Even petroleum jelly can be applied to cuts or chafed areas to provide immediate topical pain relief.
For athletes suffering from dermatological issues, chronic pain management can truly be that basic. Again, let's take the example of Josh Beckett: The Red Sox hurler addressed his blisters issue with...surgery? Laser treatment? Nope. He used Band-Aids.
Which doesn't mean that Band-Aids or baby powder are the only methods for treatment, or even the most effective ones (it should be noted that Beckett's Band-Aid solution prevented him from throwing his curveball during bullpen sessions, and his on-field performance suffered as a result).
Advanced Natural Pain ReliefFor athletes looking for more advanced natural pain relief, XTreme Skin Ointment (http://www.xtremeskin.com) offers a wide range of healing capabilities: It creates a breathable, protective barrier for the skin; it locks out germs and bacteria, and locks in moisture; and it accelerates the skin's healing process. Natural health remedies like XTreme Skin Ointment can (and should) be used as a preventative measure, but they can also be applied to damaged areas.
It must be stated that no athlete is immune to dermatological issues: Bowlers will often suffer from blisters and cuts; rock climbers, from cracked skin and burns; horseback riders, from chafing; swimmers, from dry skin; weightlifters, from calluses. And, too many athletes will try and play through these problems when they should be seeking out chronic pain management techniques and natural pain relief.
An athlete's skin is as related to his or performance as his or her muscles, yet too few recognize this. It is crucial that athletes seek out topical pain relief, and it is recommended that they do so through natural health remedies. To ignore them, or to treat them ineffectively, can spell damage, disaster and heartbreak. Just ask Josh Beckett.

How Honey Can Help And Repair Your Skin - Living Holistically
By
Sara MichelleBeeswax produced by Honey bees is one of the oldest forms of organic compounds from the Neolithic Age. The first documented use of beeswax for medicinal purposes was documented in scriptures in 5000 BC which depicted beeswax mixed with propolis, which is a mixture of various plant resins, and then applied topically for its antibacterial properties on wounds to promote healing and recovery.
In the times of Ancient Egypt, Cleopatra would use a mix of Aloe Vera, Honey and various oils on her body and hair. Sometimes a milk and honey bath would be prepared for Cleopatra as she soaked her whole body inside to moisturize and remove the toxins from the day. This was part of her daily skin care routine, and was copied by the most elite in Egypt, since honey was considered scarce and only available to the rich who were able to harvest it.
In the times of mid-evil Europe, Honey was mass produced by peasants and was used as a form of currency usually paid to feudal lords in Germany, Austria and Prague.
Bacteria cannot grow or survive when honey is applied because it has strong anti-bacteria properties due to its high potassium content. Honey retains and attracts moisture, so when it is applied to the skin, it keeps the moisture intact and close to the skin until it is absorbed. This activity is called a humentact, or adding and trapping moisture.
Important Note: Only honey is that only organic and chemical free honey should be used in skin care routines. This is not the same honey you find in your supermarket because it has been processed, diluted and other chemicals have been added. Organic and chemical free honey should only be used because it maintains all its original vitamins and anti-oxidant properties.
Make sure that when you are purchasing a honey lotion, it does not contain any harmful or other chemicals that would interfere with the antioxidant power of the original organic honey. For a great suggestion on a Honey Body lotion, refer to this
organic honey lotion. All Made from Earth products are holistic and chemical free.

Eczema on the Scalp
By
Ken GlauserOne of the most common forms of eczema is eczema on the scalp or scalp eczema. It is common on men and women, adults and children. Eczema affects various parts of the body but is most common on the hands, legs or scalp. Eczema of the scalp is different than other forms of eczema, simply because the skin on your scalp is unique compared to other bodily skin. This uniqueness is what makes eczema on the scalp so prevalent.
Sebaceous glands, present on the scalp, contribute to eczema by producing a large amount of grease. This is magnified by hair follicles which produce their own secretions. Factors like the environment also affect your scalp. Direct sunlight, heat and humidity in the summer and cold in the winter complicate things. All these things work to produce eczema on the scalp.
Eczema on the scalp has been categorized into two different forms. Environmental and internal eczema. Irritant contact eczema, allergic contact eczema and herpericum eczema are all the forms of environmental eczema. There are lots of different types of internal eczema including atopic, seborrhoeic, nummular, madidans, ruburn, pustulosum and asteototic.
Eczema on the scalp skin condition is predominantly seborrhoeic dermatitis. It causes irritation and itching. This loosens oily, greasy scales of skin off the scalp that flake off. It is also known as it more common term dandruff. Although this form of eczema is more common in men than women, both genders are susceptible to it. Eczema on the scalp in commonly seen in adults aged 30 years to 60 years.
Common symptoms of eczema on the scalp are itchy scalp, inflamed and red scalp. There are oily and yellowish scales that can flake off. Greasy skin patches on the eyebrows and behind the ears are also very common. There are a few theories about the causes of eczema on the scalp. One popular theory of dermatologists is a hormonal imbalance. Other dermatologists contend that it is caused by a fungus.
There are foods you can eat that will help in your battle against eczema on the scalp. These include fish, rich in Omega 3 oil, and salad. Medical solutions include anthralin, pyrithione and salicylic acids. Corticosteroids are also useful in battling eczema on the scalp.
One of the best non-medicinal treatments for eczema on the scalp is fish oil. Apparently the Omega 3 is an effective healing agent for scalp eczema. The consumption of fish oil will take time to show up in your treatment. It can take up to six months to see any sign of improvement. One is the advantages of Omega 3 fish oil supplements is the ready availability. It is inexpensive and can be taken as pills or just consuming fish will give you the benefits of the essential fatty acids that fish oil contains. The body uses these fatty acids to break down enzymes and particles that are active in people with eczema on the scalp.
Having green vegetables in your salads also help with eczema on the scalp. It has been known for some time the green vegetables have great benefits for your skin. Green vegetables and alfalfa sprouts both contain antioxidants which rids the body of harmful bacteria and microbes. These elements cause the irritation and discomfort.

Skin Exfoliating or Skin Toning?
By
Linda AFor those of you who are still finding their interest in the field of skin care, I hope you know what is to exfoliate and tone the skin? Exfoliating is very much like peeling an onion. Exfoliating is necessary to get blood flowing into the face, as well as remove dead skin cells. Exfoliating is skin treatments where the dead skin cells are removed by a brush, sponge or by exfoliating soap.
Face exfoliation should be an integral part of your skin care.
On the other hand, toning is a process of using a lotion that cleanses the skin and shrinks the pores, adequately preparing the skin for moisturizing. The results of toning are smaller, tighter pores, cleaner skin and firmer tighter skin, and restoring your skin's optimal Ph level, thus balancing it, prior to applying moisturizer.
While exfoliating is generally considered as a part of the beauty care treatment, using a toner is almost always purely a matter of personal choice. If you have an oily skin and have felt good after using the toner a couple of times, then there is no reason you should not include toning as a regular part of your beauty care treatment. Similarly, if your skin has been left pulled and too tight after you've used a toner, then you are best following exfoliating alone, leaving the part of toning out.
Skin is essential but people very often do not take care of it. Skin is your largest organ for eliminating toxins from your body and regulating the temperature of your body, so proper cleansing is also vital for maintaining its overall role in the maintenance of your health.

Eye Opening Facts on Sensitive Skin Care
By
Korbin NewlynIf you have tried various products for skin care and can not find the ones that work for you, then you might need to buy some sensitive skin care items that will nourish and protect your skin.
Here are some various suggestions for the best organic skin care cream, as well as beauty skin care products used for sensitive skin.
Light Treatment
If you are the type of person that has sensitive skin, the kind of skin care that you use will in all probability not be too greasy or thick - you can use a fragrance-free cleanser that is light, such as Phisoderm or Cetaphil.
This way you do not have to worry in terms of breakouts from chemicals or fragrances contained in skin care products. You might want to get moisturizers that are free of excessive chemicals and perfumes as well, to complement your routine for sensitive skin care.
Bear in mind that other products that you use can also impact the health of your sensitive skin. Body care is equally important for sensitive skin care purposes as is taking care of the face: if you use skin care beauty products for your hair or skin, it's a wise choice to ensure that these products are gentle as well as free of chemicals.
This is one of the reasons why organic skin care is a smart choice for shampoos, laundry detergents and cosmetics made from organic ingredients because they are generally mild to the skin, although some natural skin care products, such as tea tree oil or lemon oil can be rough on the skin if used too frequently or in huge quantities.
Retaining Moisture and Cleaning Pores
If you use prescription acne medication or after cleaning your face with a moisturizing cream or toner, you may want to simply wash your face with water at room temperature before applying a skin care cream. This helps to keep the skin from being stripped of moisture which can help to prevent breakouts.
If you wear makeup throughout the day, using skincare beauty creams such as cold cream or a light makeup removal cream will remove makeup on your face as well as clean impurities from your skin pores.
If the system of skin care that you are using for sensitive skin is not quite working, or if you use a certain treatment for acne and not seeing results immediately, it may be preferable to lower the duration you use this particular system for skin care.
For example, if Proactiv acne is not providing you with the results you need, you can reduce the time you use Proactiv treatment of acne to one time a day instead of two or three times.
Sensitive skin can be easy to take care of, if you know what products to take advantage of. for additional details talk to your dermatologist.

Aloe Vera for Teen Acne
By
Chaz MillesIf you're a teen, acne can be a devastating problem at a time when being the least bit less than perfect can be a major ordeal.
Acne is, clinically, a chronic inflammatory disorder of the pilo-sebaseous follicles. In other words, it's a breakout of pustules, commonly known as zits or pimples, on the face. It usually coincides with puberty and most people outgrow the worst phases by their early to late twenties. Many adults have the occasional "zit," but the frequency and severity of outbreaks lessens considerably in adulthood.
Aloe vera, while known primarily as a topical analgesic for burns, can help reduce the severity of teen acne outbreaks, reduce scarring, and condition skin. The "burn plant" has been used for thousands of years as a healing substance; clay tablets from 1750 B.C. reportedly refer to aloe vera as a medicinal plant. An oral aloe vera supplement like Aloeride® can help reduce teen acne and keep skin healthy.
Aloe vera works in two ways to help reduce teen acne. First, aloe vera strengthens the immune system, helping the body's natural defenses to work correctly. By improving overall health, aloe vera helps reduce the incidence of acne simply by making it easier for the body to control itself and helping the immune system fight problems which contribute to acne in teens.
Aloe vera also has natural anti-inflammatory properties. Because acne is an inflammation, an oral supplement like Aloeride® can help reduce inflammation on an ongoing basis, and reduce the severity and frequency of acne outbreaks.
While Aloeride®, taken orally on a regular basis, can help reduce the incidence of teen acne, it should be part of an overall routine designed to reduce and even eliminate acne. Keeping skin clean and dry is important, and using Aloeride® in conjunction with a facial cleanser helps with this essential task.
Topical aloe vera application, in addition to Aloeride®, can moisturize the skin at the same time it reduces the production of oil produced by the skin. This contributes to overall skin health. While most teens would be happy simply to not have a breakout, having truly healthy-looking skin can and should be the ultimate goal.
As adults, we know that the acne will go away and no one will remember that zit on your chin next year, let alone twenty years from now. We understand that the trauma we suffered from acne was temporary.
Fortunately, we also understand that teens do not understand or even care that it won't matter later. They don't want to hear, "A hundred years from now, no one will know the difference."
They're young, sensitive, and very conscious of their problems. Aloeride® is a safe, effective way to help teens with their acne, while improving overall health.
When your teen takes Aloeride®, a non-allergenic pill that is small and easy to swallow, he or she will look forward to clear skin. You can rest assured knowing that you're helping them build their well-being from the inside out.

Beauty From The Inside Out
By
Edward GormanAnything we take into our bodies can affect how we age. Eating, breathing and absorption through the skin. Breathing and absorbing is a bit out of our control most of the time. Eating can be difficult to control as well since food producers can add some questionable materials to our food. The better we can take control of these sources, the healthier we will be. Still, it's an uphill battle.
The skin is an organ on the outside of the body. It takes an onslaught of torture everyday, sunlight to chemicals on the outside, and various internal toxins. Underneath is a fatty layer that thins as we age. Like a carpet that the padding underneath is flattened out, the skin will be loose and wrinkly. Fatty cells also tend to hold toxins which reach the skin. On the outside is a layer of dead skin cells which provides very limited protections against the environment.
Good standard maintenance is to keep clean - inside & out. Use a filter or be a filter. Especially with tap water. The biggest pollutant is chlorine used to make the water drinkable. Even showering, the skin absorbs the chemicals. For those of us that like warm/hot water showers, chlorine becomes airborne and we breathe it in. The lungs make it available to the blood stream. There are numerous other items in the water like bacteria and other chemicals/elements, depending on the areas you live. Drinking a healthy amount of water will help keep the lymphatic system running smoothly to wash toxins under the skin away while keeping clean will keep the outside well.
The lymphatic system works like a sewage system. A good test to feel your lymphatic system is to take a deep inhale for 4 seconds, hold for a count of 8, then exhale slowly for a count of 16.
You'll feel a slight "rush" as you exhale. Breathing and movement help it to flow. The sewage system ends in the bowels and is eliminated when you use the toilet. A healthy lymphatic system is the 1st line defense for healthy skin. For best performance, healthy amounts of water and a healthy diet. The cleaner the colon, the best emptying of the lymph fluids.
Along with a clean colon for elimination, it leads to better getting better nutrition. There is a profound relationship to health and how well your body absorbs nutrition. Taking all the supplements in the world doesn't help if you live on a diet of fluffy yellow cakes filled with artificial cream. The cleaner the intestines, the better the food & nutrients get into the blood.
Once the body gets the nutrients, it builds more tissue. Some diseases and symptoms are caused by inadequate nutrients and will disappear after resuming a healthy diet. Skin is noticeable by everyone.
Blood circulation is key to having great skin. Light/moderate aerobic exercise will get blood flowing allowing skin the get oxygen & nutrients. Keeping cholesterol down, avoiding sugars and keeping proper fluids keeps blood flowing. Cholesterol and sugar are sticky and cause platelets to stick together. Low fluids makes blood like mud.
Vitamins key to healthy skin include antioxidants. Foods high in flavinoids are best. Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) are the "do all" antioxidants with numerous benefits. OPCs are found in grapeseed extract, redwine extract (skin and pulp when grapes are crushed in the first step of wine making), and white pine bark extract. They can also be found in the red skins of whole peanuts. Choke cherries have the greatest concentration. OPCs in the blood stream actually clean up by removing not only free radicals, but other impurities such as cholesterols and pollutants. UV damage is decreased within the skin. OPCs inhibit the bodies enzymes from breaking down collagen, and reduce the production of histimine. OPCs can be consumed by food naturally or in a variety of supplements ranging from pills to high availability isotonic forms.
Some skin care products can also contain OPCs for topical application.
A key element in OPCs is Pycnogenol, found mostly in white pine bark extract. It's a natural anti inflammatory helping to reduce irritations caused be external causes. Improve circulation by strengthening capillary walls and blood vessels.
Youthful skin can be yours.

Skin Is Alive! What Are Those Cosmetic Products Really Doing To Your Complexion?
By
Maureen LewisIf you look in your bathroom cabinet or on your dressing table, you will notice the number of high-priced skin products, creams, moisturisers, toners... you name it, that are residing there. It's not wrong to say, that if you were to add up the price of all the products, it'd run into many hundreds, if not thousands of pounds. How did looking good get to be so expensive?
Well, what you really ought to know is that you are paying an enormous amount for the advertising of any beauty product, the celebrity who may be endorsing it and the whole PR surrounding it. So, when you see all these products stacked up in your house (and maybe even your friends' and relatives' houses) what you should probably be doing is getting out your calculator and seeing how much is being spent. Most likely, you'd be shocked at how much you've spent.
A dramatic way to change things is simply to use a few natural products, to follow certain techniques and tips and get a little smarter about your own beauty routine and how to treat your complexion. However, the problem is that the lure of a big glitzy style advertising promotion is almost certain to get our attention. What a rip-off it all is.
Quite frankly, there are a number of low cost products and natural ingredients you'd normally find in your kitchen that would be more beneficial to the complexion than the high priced, chemical-infested products you find for sale. Items such as vinegar, honey, yoghurt, carrot, olive oil are all available at your local supermarket and if you apply the ingredients in the right way, you'll see a freshness and radiance in your complexion that you just wouldn't believe.
For example - did you know that you can use honey to bring an imbedded pimple to a head? Just cover the blemish with a dab of honey and place a Band-Aid over it before you go to bed.
You will speed the healing process because the honey kills bacteria. You need a simple programme to set you on the road to PERFECT skin. And, you'll find that you'll no longer be seduced by the hype, the lure of extravagent advertising and all those high-priced lotions.
Using specific strategies and a programme for natural skincare, your complexion can look revitalised in tone and appearance.I think you'll find that most people would love cleaner, fresher, radiant looking skin rather then just being glamorous. However, it doesn't have to be one or the other. You can have both! Whatever you look like today, once you begin taking simple steps to change things around, there's nothing to say that you can't become the fresh-faced, energetic and lively person that you once were. Clean fresh skin free from blemishes is what we all strive for. It is not as hard as the advertisers lead us to believe.
You see, most have us have bought into the hype that in order to have great looking skin and to feel great about ourselves, we need to have deep pockets filled with money. Then we can buy all the high-priced skin products out there. And also, most of us have bought into the lie that we need to get our self-worth based on the look and complexion of the 'stars' who are promoting one high-priced product after another yet are getting enormously paid for the privilege!
Once we begin the process of taking ownership for the way we look and the way we feel, it's true to say that the youth, vigour and bounce can certainly return to our lives. And, it's not as difficult or mysterious as the 'secret potion makers' have us believe. Beauty is a quality we all strive to attain and maintain and it is easy to adopt simple routine in skincare. And, with the right guidance and the right help and instruction, it can be just around the corner for you , no matter how you presently rate your skin condition.
It all begins with a shift of mind, and a difference in thinking. Not all of us are blessed with good features and excellent bone structure. However, we can have radiant complexions and super smooth skin by applying the right moisturisers, eating the right foods, and thinking positive thoughts. Looking good is not as difficult or mysterious as the 'secret potion makers' would have us believe.
Maureen Lewis is a beauty researcher who has written a book about simple and effective skincare; she writes from her own experience. She is also the author of 'Look Years Younger and Save a Fortune'.

Summer Skin Care
By
Anita R ChoudharyAfter the winter months of cold weather and being indoors most of the time, spring and summer are more than welcome for the warmth and outdoor activities. Along with the summer warmth and the beautiful summer sun, comes the danger of exposing skin to harsh UV radiation. But with a little caution and protection, all of those outdoor summer fun activities can be enjoyed without worries of harming your skin.
It is no secret that skin and bones require a healthy amount of vitamin D and sun is a good source of natural Vitamin D, but during the summer months, many of us choose to be outside in the sun more than our skin can handle. Too much exposure in the sun is a direct factor that causes skin cancer and wrinkles, and these are two results that no one wants a part of. Maintain proper balance can easily be found in getting natural nourishments and keeping your skin safe.
The first precaution is daily sunscreen usage from head to toe. Make sure to apply SPF 15 or higher in protection, and it should be put on approximately 20 minutes before going out into the summer sun. Make sure to use waterproof SPF 15 or higher sunscreen protection if there is going to be any water exposure. Make sure to cover your skin completely and do not skimp on the amounts. If you are out in the sun for long periods of time, make sure to re-apply your sunscreen every two hours, and after every time you get out of the water. Even if your sunscreen is waterproof, the sunscreen still needs to be re-applied often to safeguard the skin.
If you can choose what part of the day to be out in the sun, the safest time in the sun is in the early morning and the least safe time is between 12 PM and 2 PM of the early afternoon. Along with your sunscreen, make sure to wear a sun hat, sun glasses and sun blocking lip balm to keep down facial exposure. During the summer months, avoid facial and exfoliating body scrubs with harsh granules, use
cleansers and moisturizers containing alpha-hydroxyl acids. This is important for gentle exfoliation and improving the skin's texture and tone. The oil-free moisturizer with alpha -hydroxyl acids are better in the summer due to the keeping the skin moist without excess greasiness.

Go Green With Natural Facial Skin Care Products
By
Markus SkupeikaFlawless skin is a sign of good health. Flawless skin is an asset. Flawless skin is a coveted possession that has a lot to do with your personality and success in life. Some are lucky to have stunning skin features naturally. On contrast some have to try hard to retouch the scars, cure blemishes and acne and remove uneven pigmentations.
With latest findings in the field of skin care anybody can achieve a healthy skin nowadays. Few easy and simple steps can make a mediocre skin gleam and shine. Regular and suitable skincare regimen can do magic with skin. It requires regularity and patience in turn.
Even few days back people used to believe that cosmetic surgery was the only way to get healthy and glowing skin. Fortunately people have understood the power of natural products of late and have returned back to the lap of nature for facial skin care products and skin care regimen.
Natural facial skin care products have no side effects. These products are made from natural extracts. Shrubs, herbs, seeds, flowers, sandal wood, Asian papaya, jojoba, olive oil, aloe vera, coconut oil, turmeric, milk, fruits, lemon, honey etc. are the common ingredients used in natural facial skin care products. Unlike chemical based artificial products, they are free from side effects even when overused. That is why natural skin care solutions have taken the place of artificial cosmetics.
Neglecting skin is next to impossible. Skin is the most exposed part of human body and is subject to exposure to sunlight, pollutants, chemicals, dust, allergens and other harmful elements that make the skin look shabby. Therefore practicing skincare methods regularly is a must these days.
The very first step in skin care regimen is cleaning. A good cleanser helps you remove dust, loose dead skin cells, pollutants, allergens and make-up remains from skin. Cleansing milks should be applied all over the skin with cotton.
Your cleanser should not be harsh to your skin. Make sure you use a soft substance which is neutral in nature - neither acidic nor alkaline. A toner may be used immediately after cleansing so that skin chemistry is maintained properly.
Like all other organs of human body skin also needs water. Excessive sunning often leads to dry skin. Hence, essentially use moisturizer to appease the thirst of your skin. Apply moisturizer after cleansing so that the lotion can penetrate deep in. In case your skin is suffering from broken collagen due to excessive sunburn, use Oil of Olay Regenerist the get back the lost texture.
To be in the safer side, start exfoliating when you are in mid 20's. Exfoliation is the process of removing dead cells using scrub cleaners or peel up method. Always wash your face after exfoliating so that the dead cells are wiped out completely.
Sometimes microdermabrasion is also recommended for people suffering from superficial scars, acne, uneven pigmentation and blemishes. Day spas offer microdermabrasion sessions under the direction of expert beauticians. This process removes the dead cell layer, stratum corneum, and pushes the newly generated cells up. As a result your skin starts looking young.
So go for a good facial skin care regime. Buy your facial products from online drugstore. Choose your skin care creams according to your skin type. Consult a beautician to know what your skin needs exactly.
There are many anti wrinkle skin care products that you can purchase from the comfort of your own home at the
online drugstore. Find out how much more selection of facial cleaners and
Oil Of Olay Regenerist you have by shopping online.

Dry Skin Rash - Why Should You Carry Out a Bowel Cleanse?
By
Janet SimpsonThe reason you need to carry out a bowel cleanse, if you suffer with eczema, is to eliminate all the toxins, poisons, acids and waste from your system. According to the dictionary, the word "poison" means a substance that is causing illness or near death when eaten, drunk, or absorbed in small quantities. A poison is something very harmful or destructive to your welfare and happiness. And that's the reason why you should carry out a bowel cleanse but not just once.
Once you've completed your first bowel cleanse and you know what it's all about, you should take them more regular, at least two bowel cleanses every year. Bowel cleansing is a natural ongoing aspect of high, superior living.
Do you know that you probably accumulated waste products, poisons and acids from your parents? You accumulated them at conception. And through lack of knowledge and information, you've continued to accumulate poisons, waste and acids in your body. I challenge you to carry out your bowel cleanse and continuously purify your system, your skin, your cells on a regular basis.
Once you start fasting or once you start your bowel cleanse, your body will begin to detoxify, getting rid of wastes and poisons that have been in your body for years, probably decades. Most people who take bowel cleansing will experience some sort of cleansing reaction at the outset of their fast. But you shouldn't be alarmed. It is a natural reaction and it is to be expected. You probably would experience between two or three different cleansing reactions. And the more prepared you are, the better you'll be.
Some of the common fasting or cleansing reactions are aches and pains, skin eruptions, depression, blurred vision, heavy breathing or even flatulence. These reactions come from a history of your poor diet or nighttime eating or eating too much starch or too much sugar or heavy meat intake, especially with the consumption of excessive fried foods and dairy products. These reactions you experience will last between two or three hours.
But if you get overwhelmed, just rest. Take a break. This is mainly the reason why you should start your colon cleanse on a Friday so that you have the whole of the Friday and the rest of the weekend to get through your bowel cleanse.

Six Remedies for Dark Circles That Work
By
Maria BaltazarSo what remedies for dark circles will really work for you?
When your eyes project a tired look, they age you. People think you're sick or stressed out.
There you go dash into the internet desperate for dark circle creams can get rid of, or at least cover them.
Dark under eye circles don't have to bother you forever, so let's find out what caused them in the first place.
Dark Circle Causes
Lack of sleep
Iron deficiency
Hyperpigmentation
Food allergies
Genetics
Fluid retention
Dehydration
Weight loss
Aging
If you can pinpoint the root source, then it's easier to find a dark circles remedy and correct it.
But remember, if it's genetic, it would take more time or get minimal results from these recommendations.
Remedies For Dark Circles
Use the correct concealer as an instant remedy with the shade lighter than your foundation (if you're wearing make-up). If darker, choose two shades lighter. Try Revlon New Complexion Concealer, Estee Lauder Smoothing Skin Concealer, Cover Girl Smoothers Concealer, or Neutrogena Smoothing Skin Stick.
Vitamin K cream is a good dark under eye circles solution. Try Vita-K Solution gel or Peter Thomas Roth Power K Eye Rescue. These help strengthen capillary walls around the eyes, thus making dark circles less visible.
Laser treatment is only recommended if your case is chronic, to increase the production of collagen. This creates the effect of thickening skin and makes dark circles less visible.
* Home remedies for dark circles can include the following:
1. Drink plenty of water to combat dehydration.
2. Wear at least SPF 30 sunscreen to prevent more sun damage.
3. Get enough sleep.
4. Leave cold teabags, cucumber or potato slices, or washcloths with ice cubes on eyes for 15 minutes regularly.
5. Take iron supplements if anemic, but consult your doctor first.
6. Identify the allergens and avoid them. Whether it be pollen, food, whatever, avoidance is the best solution to this. And avoid rubbing your eyes.
Hylexin is the first dark circles eye cream developed for serious dark circles. It also works.
One of the best remedies for dark circles is Arbonne's NutriMinC® RE9 Repair. Besides considerably reducing dark circles and puffiness, this cream firms up and moisturizes the delicate tissue around the eye.
Our eyes are the mirror to our inner and outer beauty. Keeping the eyes and the skin around them healthy and radiant is all worth it.

Get Exercising For Your Skin
By
Louise ForrestWhether we actually make a commitment to ourselves to exercise or not, we all know by now that exercise is something that promotes good health in people of every age.
A moderate amount of exercise can reduce cholesterol. It can strengthen muscles including the heart, keep bones strong longer and many, many other fantastic things that we keep hearing about everywhere we go. There are posters up at the medical clinic telling us that exercise should be part of our lives.
Almost every magazine we read has at least one article that talks about exercise and what a wonderful health tool it is. It is on the television everyday as well.
Besides everything you have heard about the great benefits that exercise can have on your body, have you ever heard about what it can do for your skin? Our skin is an often neglected part of our bodies.
We take it for granted and forget that it needs more attention than just throwing on some lotion before we jump into bed every night.
Your skin is one of the largest organs of your body. Yes, it actually is an organ! As an organ, your skin needs to be nourished and taken care of in much the same way as your other organs and just as exercise has proven benefits for your heart, muscles and bones it most certainly provides some benefits to your skin as well.
Your skin is meant to work as an exchange with the world outside your body. One example of this is how the skin can take in the sun and provide the rest of the body with essential vitamin D.
The skin also exchanges by sweating. We may not think sweating is a very pleasant topic, but sweating is something that is essential for good health too. Toxins that your body wants to get rid of can often come out in sweat.
What is the best way to sweat? Exercise! You got it. Simple exercising that works up a sweat can help your body cleanse the inside by releasing chemicals and toxins through the skin.
What a marvellous little cleansing machine you are walking around in. If you do not work up a sweat your body will try to dispose of these chemicals and toxins in another manner, but it will take longer which means they will be inside you causing harm for longer.
Another good example of the benefit of exercise to the skin is in its elasticity. Our skin stretches and shrinks with us during all our different phases of our lives. When we gain a little weight, it adjusts to our new size.
When a woman grows in pregnancy her skin is really put to the test and still does just fine. Often when we lose weight however, it seems that our skin takes much longer to tighten back up than it did to stretch out when we got larger. Exercise can help strengthen the muscles underneath and help the skin respond to its new size by tightening up a little.
Remember that your skin is a very visible part of your body and healthy skin always looks better than unhealthy skin. And when you think about finally making that commitment to yourself with regard to some kind of exercise program or regimen, think about the rewards you will be letting yourself in for.
And when you think of what kinds of benefits you would be letting yourself into by starting up an exercise program of some sort, add your skin to the list of body parts that will thank you.
Your skin will look and feel as great as you feel inside it!

Beauty - How Is Skin Care Vital?
By
Jean HelmetHow can one work to achieve beauty? To have genuine Beauty, it is Vital to have a system of Skin Care set up. Make sure that you have a daily skin care routine and that you stick to it. This should go without saying yet, there are people that still do nothing to take care of their skin or to try and combat or reverse the harmful effects of the world we live in.
How can we take better care of our skin to reassure that we do not lose the natural beauty? A first and imperative thing that is often overlooked would be not using products that irritate or damage our skin more. One such product that people often apply to their face without even realize the harm it may cause is face soap. Soap, has a drying, damaging affect to your gently skin on your face. So you may ask what else you can use. Well, let me give you a few suggestions.
First, instead of soap, try using a softer, moisturizing face wash. It too will cleanse your skin but will not have the drying characteristics of soap. Ok with that having been said, the next step in reassuring beautiful skin is to moisturize. This too will help replenish the lost moisture and reverse some of the harm caused by the environment.
Next and equally important, pay close attention to the ingredients in the skin care products you use. Many products that are available today contain chemicals and agents for cleaning that are darn right harmful to your skin. If you have used a product that harmed your skin what can you do about it? The first step in repairing damaged caused to you skin by a skin care product is to stop using the product. You may think that is sill and goes without say but you would be wrong.
It is actually alarming how many people think that a reaction they are having to a said product is the product working. If a product is working properly, it should not turn your face red or irritated. It may dry your skin out but that can be corrected after the condition you used it for is relieved.
Then talk to your pharmacist friends or family and ask what they suggest. Research the products available and choose one that matches your skin type and your needs. Having a clear cut Skin Care Routine is an essential part of retaining or regaining ones natural beauty.

Using Under Eye Wrinkle Cream To Treat Your Eyes
By
Sean SaundersMost people can deal with a few wrinkles without the worry of feeling older. However, when wrinkles start to appear heavily around the eyes making it seem as though your 10 or even 20 years older, something has got to be done. But therein lies the question -- what can be done to reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles around the eyes? That's easy -- you just need to use an under eye wrinkle cream.
Eye wrinkle cream is specially crafted to treat the area around the eyes, as that area is much more sensitive than other regions of the face. If you have ever applied a cream "too close" to your eyes, you know precisely why such a cream is important -- as regular anti-wrinkle creams will often irritate the eyes, leading to redness, itchiness, puffiness, etc. Having said that, it is important to use a cream, such as under eye wrinkle cream, that has natural ingredients capable of soothing and caressing the eyes; rather than those that will irritate and bother them. And to be honest, trading wrinkled skin for younger looking skin that is constantly puffy, itchy, and red isn't too good of a trade-off.
Wrinkle eye cream should be applied to the skin like any other anti-wrinkle cream. This means that you should apply it before bed as well as when you wake up in the morning -- and for women, be sure to apply the wrinkle cream before your put on your make-up. And just like with using other wrinkle creams, you have to practice good skin care; cleanse your face thoroughly, avoid squinting, stop smoking, avoid cosmetic products with skin damaging ingredients, stop rubbing your eyes, use quality moisturizers regularly, etc. If, in addition to using an under eye wrinkle cream, you perform basic maintenance to preserve the youthfulness & integrity of your skin, the achieved results will be all the more impressive.
Eye wrinkle cream isn't about fast & miraculous wrinkle removal treatment -- it's about long term, quality wrinkle removing results. This means you can't expect to apply the under eye wrinkle cream and then have perfect, youthful skin around your eyes within minutes. It just doesn't work that way. However, that doesn't mean you should have to wait month after month to achieve results either. In fact, most of the people whom use under eye wrinkle cream see noticeable results within just 1-2 months. Do "results" imply complete wrinkle removal? No, not necessarily -- it just means they have had significant improvement in terms of eye wrinkle reduction. That being said, if you are interested in instantaneous wrinkle removal, wrinkle eye cream probably isn't for you.
So, the big question now is; should you try under eye wrinkle cream? In all honestly, only you can truly answer that question -- but then again, with the awesome benefits that come with using this particular type of wrinkle, the answer should be quite obvious.

Vitamins Boost Anti Aging Skin Care
By
David J BarnardOne of the most successful areas of health and beauty is Anti-ageing skin care products, and there is nothing wrong with wanting to continue looking young as you get older, in fact it is quite a healthy aim. We achieve this with beauty products that synthesize the production of the protein collagen, collagen makes up approximately 25 percent of the total protein in the skin.
This category of skin products is in fact related to another group of everyday products that help reduce the signs of aging, these are known as antioxidants which remove toxins from the body.
Probably the best known of these anti-oxidants is vitamin C although no-one really knows just how much we should have each day. Vitamin C formulated skin care treatments suffer with a particular problem of oxidizing on contact with the air which causes a problem for users and manufacturers.
More stable skin care treatments are now available that are almost as efficient and actually cost less to manufacture. These alternative products are not as effective as vitamin C but vitamin E and lipoic acid are anti-oxidants and are now being used.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant and component of human blood whose purpose is to help increase the body's immune system against diseases including cancer. Lipoic acid which is found inside every cell of the body helps generate the energy that keeps us alive and functioning. It is known to combat the signs of ageing very effectively by reversing skin damage caused by the ageing process.
Phytochemicals aren't produced by the body but are extracted from a number of plants and used in many anti-ageing skin care products to combat the signs of ageing. A secondary but more important use of phytochemicals is the effect they have on the prevention of breast, prostate and colon cancers.
For some time now it has also been known that the vitamins B5, B6 and B12 also have anti-ageing skin care properties. The use of anti-ageing skin care products is a huge scientific field to research and has far greater potential than just producing goods that reduce the visible signs of age.
Whilst a great deal has been learned about this subject, it is only the tip of the iceberg and more long term effective methods need to be discovered to reverse or slow down the effects of time. Hopefully, these challenges will get resolved in due course and better and cheaper anti-ageing skin care products will be produced.
In some respects the real way ahead lies in our own hands as there are many things we can do to reduce the signs of ageing naturally. Natural methods are known, but few people actually follow them, what proportion of the population actually eats healthily, takes plenty of exercise, drink sufficient water and obtain restful and regular sleep?

Sure Shot Dandruff Cure
By
Anita R ChoudharyAt any given time, at least 70% of people in the world have some kind of dandruff problems. We all naturally shed our skin, but the excessive flakes of dandruff are an issue of embarrassment and frustration. People spend an amazing amount of money yearly on trying to get rid of our dandruff and even the efforts of dandruff prevention. It is normal for our bodies to shed skin, but the excessiveness of dandruff is one of those times that a remedy needs to be found.
Instead of spending money on the store remedies, it is worth your time to try some natural remedies first. In most cases, home remedies may offer the end results you are looking for, without spending a small fortune on the store bought chemical remedies constantly being advertised, especially with the average mild case of dandruff.
One way to control dandruff is by application of a vinegar and water mixture upon the scalp.
This is a mixture of 2 teaspoons of vinegar and 6 teaspoons of water put all over your scalp right before bed. After the applied mixture, a towel should be wrapped around your scalp throughout the night. In the morning, make sure to rinse your head again with the same mixture combination of vinegar and water. For the best results, do this for a few months.
Another method is to mix 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice with 100 grams of witch hazel with 200ml of water and apply after shampooing your scalp. You will get the best results of curbing your dandruff after several more applications. The amount of applications depends on the mildness or severity of your dandruff to start with.
Another naturally effective way for
dandruff removal is to wash your hair with warm apple cider vinegar and let it soak on your scalp for at least 30 to 40 minutes. Rinse with plain warm water and repeat periodically for a continuous positive result to permanently rid of your dandruff problems. Don't be afraid to use strong smelling natural remedies like various vinegar mixtures, because the vinegar smells dissipate quite quickly and are well worth it for the final results.
Aloe Vera is another effective way to rid of your dandruff. Just apply the aloe Vera gel evenly onto your scalp and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes before your regular shampooing. This is a effective method of keeping your dandruff naturally under control.

Beauty Products And Tips
By
Dean O CalvertThe secret to having beautiful skin is available to everyone not just the rich and famous; providing you are willing to put in the time for your skin care on a regular basis you should see some beneficial results. Although it still happens in the West, women are beginning to learn that beautiful skin does not come at the end of a knife but with other more natural methods.
However there are common beauty care products that are neither costly nor risky, and can have a multitude of benefits that help women stay both healthy and beautiful.
The problem has always been our image of beauty care products like cold cream and the anti-aging formulations. Today's products are able to do much more after the research that has been carried out and are an important addition to your personal care regime. The skin that covers our entire body has an important role to play in continuing our health and beauty so should not be overlooked when it comes to regular maintenance.
The first and most important step in any skin care regimen is to cleanse your face to remove any makeup, dust and bacteria that it has encountered throughout the day. To do this requires a gentle cleanser which must be used with cotton wool pads moving the wetted pads in a circular motion around the face until all areas have been done then once you have washed with warm water, use a soft towel to dab your skin until it is dry.
Applying toner rids your skin of any excess cleanser and restores your skins natural PH balance. To reduce the number of wrinkles and help make your skin soft and supple, use moisturizing creams or lotions once you have finished with the skin toner. Moisturizing also has the added bonus of locking in the moisture that can be lost without its use, so do not skimp on this beauty care product.
Once or twice weekly you should treat your skin with an exfoliant or natural peel to remove dead skin cells and to deep cleanse your skin as part of you skin care routine. Once you have exfoliated; a normal cleanse and then tone will be necessary as part of the process.
For those people that suffer with puffy or baggy skin below the eyes, formulated beauty care product creams are able to help alleviate this problem making the skin much suppler and improving its elasticity. Water is another undervalued commodity that helps detoxify and improve the skin tone along with regular exercise and a good diet. We often forget how much we rely on but take our skin for granted but if it becomes damaged it can lead to all sorts of problems.
