You aren't likely to find the best skincare brand by reading skincare reviews, but I might be able to help. I've done the research. I admit that there were lots of things that I didn't know when I started, but now I feel comfortable giving you advice.
Did you know, for example, that the cosmetic industry is not very well regulated? Did you know that the terms "doctor approved" and "hypoallergenic" are not regulated at all? I didn't.
I used to think that those phrases on the label meant that the company had "gone the extra mile", obtaining the opinion of a dermatologist. I also thought that some regulating agency would evaluate the "doctor's approval" and make sure that it was "legit". I know better, now and I've learned a lot of other things, too.
If you read a few skincare reviews, you will see that most people are disappointed, in one way or another. I was, at first, surprised, but now I understand.
The technology that is on the market today, as well as the formulations, is two to three years old. It takes two to three years for a major company to change its formula, improve technology and offer something "new and improved".
The best skincare brand on the market is the manufacturer, the developer and the formulator. With all three hats under one roof, new technology can easily be taken advantage of, newly approved ingredients can be added and the result is a product that is more advance than anything other cream or lotion.
You won't see the best skincare brand in a television commercial. They choose to spend their budget in other ways. It is the cosmetic industry that depends on marketing and advertising to sell their products. But, skin care is not really a "cosmetic" subject, it is a healthcare subject.
When you read as many skincare reviews as I have, you will become saddened by all of the women who have suffered from rashes, itching, breakouts and serious skin conditions that were a direct result of using a popular product, with a designer or other well-known name on the label. The best skincare brand contains nothing that could cause an unwanted side effect, nothing that could damage the skin's health, because that would simply be counterproductive.
How many times have you seen skincare reviews for products that are designed for a specific "type" of skin? Nearly every beauty expert advises that you shop for products based on your "skin-type". Look, we all have the same skin-type. It's called human.
If it weren't for the fact that the major companies rely on oils that clog the pores to help relieve dryness and alcohol that dries the skin to relieve oiliness, then everyone could use the same products. The makers of the best skincare brand understand that.
You can read more skincare reviews, if you like, but I would recommend that you look for something different. Look for the health supplement manufacturer that also makes skin-care products. That's my advice.
