Keeping Your Skin Healthy & Young Looking
By Melissa Louise Stevens

The lifestyle you lead will undoubtedly have a massive impact on the condition that your skin is in. If you spend a lot of time in the sun you could be causing damage and harm to skin cells, which will result in premature aging and wrinkles appearing. This is why the importance of sun tan lotion is emphasized because applying a sun screen will not only protect you from the sun's rays but it will also refresh and soothe the skin.

Keeping your skin clean, radiant looking and healthy does not have to be a long drawn out process of using cream, balms, face masks and other expensive products. By simply drinking 8 glasses of water a day you will be helping to nourish your skin keeping it supple and hydrated. Also try daily exercise routines such as jogging on the spot, taking a brisk walk or going for a run. By exercising on a regular basis you will stimulate and motivate your body which in turn will get the blood circulating around it pushing more nutrients into the skin.

Then we come to the different types of skins, each person will have a different type of skin that will either become dry or oily. If you suffer from dry skin it is of utmost important to keep your skin refreshed at all times with proven moisturizers and lotions to keep it glowing and vigorous. If you have oily skin you should look at washing your face up to 2-3 times a day depending on the level of oiliness, also consider using an intensive moisturizer.

One of the biggest things that can change the overall look of your skin is your daily diet. Eating the right things will have a positive effect on your skins look. By consuming nothing other than oils, salts, caffeine, alcohol and sugars you will only be producing a negative effect on your skin, leaving it looking drawn and in a poor condition. The best foods and drinks to consume to keep a healthy and radiant complexion are fresh fruits, boiled or poached eggs, herbal teas, water and freshwater fish. A balanced diet high in nutrients is a key part to a healthy lifestyle and a strong effervescent complexion.
