Some Practical Home Remedies for Dry Skin

Dry skin is a very predominant and usual skin problem that is encountered by people from all ages. Because of the unhealthy lifestyle, the abundant impurities in the environment and the harshness of most active ingredients in skincare products, it is most of the time inevitable to contract such a problem. Unfortunately, not all people are well knowledgeable about appropriate actions that must be done when there is a problem of dry skin. Often, the situation gets worse and symptoms elevate to the next level, leading to a different type of skin problem like rashes, scars from scratching, itching and skin damaging.
With the numerous skincare solutions, medicines and many other forms of treatments that are out in the market, it would be better if people would have more options when handling and managing dry skin problems. Here are several unpopular, yet very effective, home remedies or solutions that could help offset the setbacks from having a dry skin.
Create a practical dry skin solution by mixing six teaspoons of petroleum jelly and two teaspoons each of lemon juice and glycerin., Apply the resulting solution, in the form of lotion, unto the skin at least two times every week. Doing so has been proven to effectively remedy not just dry skin but also flaky legs and arms. Applying can also be a relaxing activity especially when you are doing the task just as if you are massaging yourself.
At times, skin on the heels can inevitably crack due to excessive and uncontrollable dryness in those particular body parts. To remedy the situation, combine a little amount of mustard oil with melted paraffin wax. The resulting lotion-like substance should be applied in the affected body part. Leave the lotion on the heels overnight or after about 15 minutes, Notice that evident result in your cracking heels skin.
If you have time to spare, massage your own body by using a solution that is made up of coconut oil and one or any of your top favorite scented oils, including rosemary and lavender.
If your palms turn rough due to hard work and excessive drying of the skin, it would be more advisable if you would apply into the affected part a mixture of lime juice and coconut oil. Doing so would greatly and effectively scrap dry skin.
Coconut oil can also be ideal for cracked skin on the heels. When using coconut oil, it would also be advisable to keep each of your feet in relatively warm water.
If you have scars and other wounds due to physical activities, it would be better if you would carefully handle that situation by making sure the condition would not further worsen or by using lemon peel in doing so. Lemon peel has a great exfoliating property so for sure, your overall dry skin problem would be eliminated in no time.
Such home remedies for dry skin are proven to be effective and are somehow popular among people. It would be helpful if you would personally try to do such costless and practical dry skin measures.
